Covid-19 Policy

Our B&B Rooms

We have always had a high standard of cleaning, but are taking extra precautions and sanitising frequently touched items, such as door handles, light switches and TV remotes. To protect both our guests and ourselves, we will not be doing room tidies for stays of less than 3 nights. We will leave a box or tray outside you room for any used items such as mugs and towels that you wish replaced, and an order form for you to fill in if you need more teas, milk etc.

On leaving your room, please leave windows wide open to ventilate before cleaning. We are leaving rooms empty for one day between bookings to allow for extra cleaning time. If there should be a case of COVID-19 in the B&B we will need to close for 72 hours to allow for a deep clean.

Dining Room

We are not able to put out our normal breakfast buffet, but all items are available to order. We will sanitise cruet sets, sugar bowls etc. between each set of guests. We will try to arrange staggered breakfast times to help social distancing, and space guest apart where times overlap.

Swimming Pool (Summer Season only)

If you wish to use the pool, please book a time slot, so that you can have exclusive use, and we can sanitise as appropriate. Please shower in your room before using the pool.

Check In and Check Out

  • We will need to collect details of the lead guest who is staying. If we don’t already have this from your booking details, we will require you to fill in registration details on arrival.  Please note that we will comply with GDPR rules when storing and using your data.
  • When you arrive, please stand back 2 metres from the door after ringing the bell. If you should arrive at the same time as another set of guests, please wait until the first guests have been shown to their room, so that we can allow for social distancing.
  • On departure, please vacate your room by 10:30 am. We need to leave the room to air for at least an hour after you’ve departed before we can start cleaning.
  • Please leave the key in the bedroom door on departure.

If you develop COVID-19 Symptoms

  • If you are booked to stay with us and develop COVID-19 symptoms or have been asked to self-isolate, within 14 days prior to your stay please let us know as soon as possible and, as per government guidelines, do not travel to us.
  • If you need to cancel your stay due to COVID-19, we will refund your deposit or we will offer to move your stay to another date if you prefer.
  • If you develop COVID-19 symptoms or are told to self-isolate whilst you are staying with us, as per government guidelines, we will ask that you let us know and return home immediately. In this case, we will refund for the unused nights of your stay.
  • If you are unable or unwilling to return home, you will be charged for extra nights and meals incurred.
  • If you develop COVID-19 symptoms or are told to self-isolate within 14 days of staying with us, please email to let us know as soon as possible.
  • If we have to cancel your booking because we have to self-isolate or because we have had a case of COVID-19 at the B&B, we will refund your deposit and try to find you suitable alternative accommodation locally.
